Current Version Artesian Spas Suction Drain Cover, 4-7/8 inch O.D. New Version VGB Compliant Replaced Obsolete Original

The new/current version seem to be a bit heavier and more sturdy than the old ones which had broken and HAD to be replaced. The replacements should outlast my spa. My only complaint is with the manufacturer in that they changed the design of the new ones so that they will not fit properly on the spa's mechanical structure which had to be cut and modified using a Dremel tool in order to make the new suctions fit. I was able to accomplish this relatively easily but wouldn't it have been simpler to just leave the infrastructure the same on newer model spas so that replacement suctions could be installed without having to do all of this? The SpaStore people were immensely helpful in explaining what needed to be done; otherwise I'm not sure I would have attempted this little task by myself.
